Police Activities League

Purpose

The Chowchilla Police Activities League (PAL) exists to help youth participate in activities that provide a positive outlet for their energy and to increase constructive interaction between themselves and the Chowchilla Police Department. The PAL Program is run by a Board of Directors that contains members of the community including Police Department employees.

PAL programs are available to boys and girls through age 18 (see minimum age requirements for each program). Annual membership is $2 and most programs are free. For registration information contact the Chowchilla Police Department at 559-665-8600.

Chowchilla Warriors Wrestling

Chowchilla Warriors Wrestling welcomes boys and girls 5 to 17 years old regardless of skill level or school affiliation. This is a community youth program in which the goal is to provide a safe, structured environment where wrestlers will learn and develop wrestling skills and at the same time develop confidence, self-discipline, strong work ethic where youth learn to compete as an individual within a team environment.

All wrestlers will be required to purchase SCWAY ($15) and/or USA wrestling cards ($35) in order to practice and participate in wrestling tournaments. Local tournaments are normally $10 per wrestler/style and are usually held on Saturdays with a few on Sundays. State tournaments are normally $35 per wrestler (2 day event/weekend). Parents will be responsible for providing their own transportation.
